WHAT?
The RailOne app is a comprehensive, all-in-one mobile application launched by Indian Railways on July 1, 2025, designed to streamline passenger services into a single, user-friendly platform.
Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), it consolidates functionalities previously spread across multiple apps like IRCTC Rail Connect, UTS, Rail Madad, and Food on Track, aiming to enhance convenience and reduce device storage needs.
Key Features of the App
- Supports booking of reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets.
- Offers a 3% discount on unreserved and platform tickets.
- Integrates with IRCTC for reserved ticket bookings, authorized as a partner app.
- Features a “Plan My Journey” tool for seamless trip planning across multiple classes and quotas.
- Real-Time Train Tracking : Provides live updates on train status, delays, and expected arrival times, helping passengers adjust plans.
- PNR Status and Booking History : Allows users to track PNR status and view details of both booked and canceled tickets (reserved and unreserved) under the “My Bookings” feature.
- Coach Position Finder : Helps locate coach positions on platforms for easier boarding.
- E-Catering : Enables passengers to order meals from partner vendors directly from their seats, ensuring fresh and timely food delivery during journeys.
- Rail Madad : Integrates grievance redressal, allowing users to lodge complaints or provide feedback and track resolution status.
- Refund Management : Simplifies refund requests for canceled or missed journeys through a streamlined interface.
- Last-Mile Services : Includes porter booking and last-mile taxi services for enhanced travel convenience.
- Freight and Parcel Enquiries : Supports queries related to freight train services, expanding its utility beyond passenger needs.
- R-Wallet Integration : Features a digital wallet (R-Wallet) for secure payments, accessible via numeric mPIN or biometric login.
- Multilingual Support:Available in multiple Indian languages to cater to India’s diverse population, enhancing accessibility.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) : Eliminates the need for multiple passwords by allowing login with existing RailConnect or UTSonMobile credentials. New users can register with minimal information, and guest access is available via mobile number/OTP verification for enquiries.
