What is Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) ? श्रम बल भागीदारी दर (एलएफपीआर)
  1. Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) essentially, is the percentage of working-age (15 years or older) population that is asking for a job. श्रम बल भागीदारी दर (एलएफपीआर) अनिवार्य रूप से कामकाजी आयु (15 वर्ष या उससे अधिक) की आबादी का प्रतिशत है जो नौकरी मांग रही है।
  2. It represents the number of people in the labour force as a percentage of the civilian non institutional population. यह नागरिक गैर-संस्थागत आबादी के प्रतिशत के रूप में श्रम बल में लोगों की संख्या का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है।
     
  3. The labour force consists of people who are 15 years or older and belongs to either of the following two categories: Are employed or are unemployed and are willing to work and are actively looking for a job. श्रम बल में ऐसे लोग शामिल हैं जो 15 वर्ष या उससे अधिक उम्र के हैं और निम्नलिखित दो श्रेणियों में से किसी एक से संबंधित हैं: नियोजित हैं या बेरोजगार हैं और काम करने के इच्छुक हैं और सक्रिय रूप से नौकरी की तलाश कर रहे हैं।
  4. LFPR represents the ‘demand’ for jobs in an economy. It includes those who are employed and those who are unemployed. एलएफपीआर अर्थव्यवस्था में नौकरियों की 'मांग' का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। इसमें वे लोग शामिल हैं जो कार्यरत हैं और जो बेरोजगार हैं।

India’s female LFPR had shown a sharp declining trend over the last 3 decades from 30.2% in 1990 to hitting an all-time low of 17.5% in 2018, as per the reports by World Bank. विश्व बैंक की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत की महिला LFPR ने पिछले 3 दशकों में 1990 में 30.2% से 2018 में 17.5% के सर्वकालिक निचले स्तर पर गिरने की प्रवृत्ति दिखाई थी।
  7. But, recently, rise in female labour force participation rate is seen from 19.7% in 2018-19 to 27.7% in 2020 21. लेकिन, हाल ही में, महिला श्रम बल भागीदारी दर में वृद्धि 2018-19 में 19.7% से बढ़कर 2020 21 में 27.7% हो गई है।
