  1. Foreign Investment Facilitation Portal (FIFP) is the online single point interface of the Government of India for investors to facilitate Foreign Direct Investments through the approval route. विदेशी निवेश सुविधा पोर्टल (FIFP) निवेशकों के लिए अनुमोदन मार्ग के माध्यम से प्रत्यक्ष विदेशी निवेश की सुविधा के लिए भारत सरकार का ऑनलाइन एकल बिंदु इंटरफ़ेस है।
  2. There are two routes through which India gets FDI: Automatic route and approval route. ऐसे दो मार्ग हैं जिनके माध्यम से भारत एफडीआई प्राप्त करता है: स्वचालित मार्ग और अनुमोदन मार्ग।
  3. Automatic route: In this, the foreign entity does not require the prior approval of the government or the RBI. स्वचालित मार्ग: इसमें विदेशी संस्था को सरकार या आरबीआई के पूर्व अनुमोदन की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है।
  4. Government/Approval route: In this the foreign entity has to take approval of the government. सरकार/अनुमोदन मार्ग: इसमें विदेशी संस्था को सरकार की स्वीकृति लेनी होती है।
  5. It is administered by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry. यह उद्योग और आंतरिक व्यापार संवर्धन विभाग (DPIIT), वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रशासित है।
  6. The proposal filed on FIFP are forwarded to the concerned Administrative Ministry and are also simultaneously marked to the Ministry of External Affairs and RBI for comments and to the Ministry of Home Affairs for necessary security clearance wherever required as per the FDI policy. एफआईएफपी पर दायर प्रस्ताव संबंधित प्रशासनिक मंत्रालय को भेजे जाते हैं और साथ ही विदेश मंत्रालय और आरबीआई को टिप्पणियों के लिए और एफडीआई नीति के अनुसार आवश्यक सुरक्षा मंजूरी के लिए गृह मंत्रालय को भी चिह्नित किया जाता है।
  7. It will impart greater transparency in the approval process of the FDI, plus it will improve the communication, reduce paperwork, speed up processing and inform the investor through SMS or email. It will keep the FDI investors updated with all sorts of related information. यह एफडीआई की स्वीकृति प्रक्रिया में अधिक पारदर्शिता प्रदान करेगा, साथ ही यह संचार में सुधार करेगा, कागजी कार्रवाई को कम करेगा, प्रसंस्करण में तेजी लाएगा और निवेशक को एसएमएस या ईमेल के माध्यम से सूचित करेगा। यह एफडीआई निवेशकों को सभी प्रकार की संबंधित सूचनाओं से अपडेट रखेगा।
