In a rare and major acceptance, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged that Indian ballistic missiles hit Nur Khan Airbase and other strategic sites during Operation Sindoor. This marks a clear departure from Islamabad’s earlier denials of Indian military actions on its soil.
Sharif, while addressing a ceremony at the Pakistan Monument, stated that the Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, called him in the early hours of May 10 to inform him about the strikes. ”At around 2:30 am, General Asim Munir called me on a secure line and told me that India’s ballistic missiles had hit Nur Khan Airbase and other areas,” Sharif stated, as mentioned by Geo News.
