  1. SLR is the minimum proportion of deposits that the commercial bank must keep within itself in form of gold, cash and other government securities. यह जमा का न्यूनतम अनुपात है जिसे वाणिज्यिक बैंक को सोना, नकदी और अन्य सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों के रूप में अपने पास रखना चाहिए।
  2. SLR is determined by RBI on quarterly basis. The banks are obligatory to maintain SLR daily. SLR तिमाही आधार पर RBI द्वारा निर्धारित किया जाता है। बैंकों को प्रतिदिन एसएलआर बनाए रखना अनिवार्य है।
  3. RBI is authorised to raise SLR to an upper limit of 40% and decline it to a lower of 0%. आरबीआई एसएलआर को 40% की ऊपरी सीमा तक बढ़ाने और इसे 0% के निचले स्तर तक कम करने के लिए अधिकृत है।
  4. It is the proportion of NDTL. NDTL stands for Net Demand and Time Liabilities which refers to the total demand and time liabilities or deposits of the public. यह एनडीटीएल का अनुपात है। NDTL का मतलब नेट डिमांड एंड टाइम लायबिलिटीज है जो कुल डिमांड और टाइम लायबिलिटी या जनता की जमा राशि को संदर्भित करता है।
  5. These reserves should be liquid assets only i.e., one that can easily convert into cash like gold, treasury bills, government approved securities, government bonds and cash reserves.ये भंडार केवल तरल संपत्ति होनी चाहिए, जैसे कि सोना, ट्रेजरी बिल, सरकार द्वारा अनुमोदित प्रतिभूतियां, सरकारी बांड और नकद भंडार जैसे नकदी में आसानी से परिवर्तित हो सकते हैं।
  6. If SLR is increased, it will be mandatory for the bank to maintain more reserves, thus, decreasing its credit funds.   9. CRR is one of the major components of the RBI’s monetary policy which facilitates regulation of the money supply, level of inflation and liquidity in the country. सीआरआर आरबीआई की मौद्रिक नीति के प्रमुख घटकों में से एक है जो देश में मुद्रा आपूर्ति, मुद्रास्फीति के स्तर और तरलता के नियमन की सुविधा प्रदान करता है।
  10. In the pursuit of maintaining the levels of inflation, efforts are made to bring down the flow of money in the economy. Considering this, RBI elevates the CRR, diminishing the funds that are available for credit with the bank. Consequently, this slows down investments and reduces the supply of money in the economy.   11. On the contrary, for pumping new funds into the system, RBI lowers the CRR, which increases the credit funds with the bank.
